What is chaining you to your cubicle?

Today in History The Alamo fell.
I write that to you with a long pause
because, as a Texan, there is a lot
that was done YEARS ago that made
an impact on our lives that may not
have made much sense to people today.

Like – would you stand Toe to Toe against
a clearly un-winnable position?
As a matter of pride or principle?

What side of the line would you take
if given the choice to leave – or stay and fight.
Certainly there is nothing wrong with leaving and
living to fight another day.
The question is would you? Fight another day?

Or would you let your 4 foot cubicle cell
keep you prisoner, kind of like it is right now.
How about where you are right now?
Have you tried a couple of times at real estate?
Or heck in anything?  Tried and gave a little
effort and been knocked back 3 steps so now
you are tied forever in your cubicle?

Most of the times it is because you have not
gotten back up.
You have given up in your head and don’t know it.
Well there are times where, as a firefighter, we do
have to take a step back to be able to fight another
day.
We come to realize that not every battle is going to be won,
sometimes the Dragon has his meal.
Sometimes I get to eat that Dragon.
If you feel that this mess the nation is in has just beaten you
down til you can’t take it any more then now, more than ever, you
need to stand up and fight!
For what you believe in.
Otherwise you will be chained to the cubicle forever.  Kind
of like Scrooge without the money 🙁

PS – My fellow firefighter Jeff Adams is gonna hand
over a Land Trust he paid $3,000 to have created
by an attorney.
You might go and get it.
