Thanksgiving is here and we are laughing around the house -well until I found a B-Buster movie under the bed of my oldest girl that is  WAYYYY past due.

Beverly and my youngest scrambled their rear off to finish a project on Native American Indians for Monday and it was a mad house.

One of the questions Bev asked Sophia was “What could cause a War Inside the Tribe?”  I yelled out “Inviting Relatives over” and Sophia piped in “Daddy getting a New Dog without telling you!”

I about fell out of my chair laughing!

Anyway – Yesterday I had lunch with 3 Long Lost friends.

Most were lost because we are all busy running our businesses but it was not too long ago that we were all starting out in the REI BIZ.

The truth be told – we were like lost Sheeple headed to Financial Ruin.

A couple of us looked like we were destined to be wearing a Convenience Store Vest with a big “Don’t Shoot” Button.

It seems strange looking back but I had the GREAT Fortune of living in same city as Tim Mai and Doug Smith. Both of which are living breathing examples of How to Bust loose of the Corporate world and Living Your Dream.

I remember when both were just starting out and bugging me all the time about meeting them for lunch so they could pick my brain.

Tim actually introduced me at a LIVE event he was holding and said I was a Jerk because I never called him back! When we stopped laughing I reminded him that was because he called me while I was at Astroworld with my Family and FAMILY always comes first!

It looks like he got the message right? If you have seen ANY of his videos you know that to be true.

Mike I met while a member of a $12,000 a year Mastermind group – oh yeah – Tim and Doug were a part of that as well by the way…

Michael Jake and I became fast friends, as we all did, and to this day I go to him to get a feel for what is happening in other parts of the world…

We all met up yesterday – Mike flew into town so his wife could visit some friends in San Antonio.

I will say this – If we had recorded the conversation where we JUST talked about real estate – if you could have been a Fly on The Wall and listened in – we could have charged $1,000 and you would have paid it.

It really is cool what happens with real friends get together. Real ideas start to formulate – game plans – Direction – and a heck of a lot of fun!

I hope we don’t wait that long next time to do it again – and I will bring a tape recorder this time

We all Bolted from the Rat Race. We got rid of people that did not Think Like Us! We found people who Demanded Success!

So here is what you can do – find a few friends that you really LIKE to talk to.

NOT the Whiners – The Moaners – The ones who have let the world beat them so far down that all they want to do is Bring the rest of the World With them by dragging and kicking and screaming that life is not fair and it stinks.

Nope – RUN Fast from those Swine Flu carrying plague. They have a Dark little corner away from the Those who are actually DOING

No – Truth be told Find people who are HUNGRY to Succeed and surround yourself with them.

Find people who are Determined to make you Be The Best you
are. And Learn from them.

And NEVER judge a book by its cover – or Tim might have never been invited into my world
